Countdown is on...

Hello! We are on the countdown to 3rd grade. I will sure miss this class when they're gone. We've had so much fun and have seen so much growth. Here is a list of what's coming up for the remainder of the year:

Halloween Parade

Hello!

Tomorrow the students are allowed to wear their costumes to school as long as they are appropriate. Please make sure they don't contain weapons, don't cover their faces, and are easy to move around in.

There will be a parade on the blacktop at 12:35. Families are welcome to come watch!

We also have VAPA in the morning. Please have your child go directly to the VAPA classroom.

Wednesday  "A Minion Reasons Not to do Drugs"...wear blue and yellow
Thursday  "Turn Your Back on Drugs"...wear your clothes backwards
Friday  "Happy Halloween"...TK-3 wear your costumes, 4-6 wear black and orange

Conference week is coming up. I will put together a Signup Genius Friday morning during VAPA. Once I notify you that it's ready to use, please sign up for your child's conference. This trimester, conferences will be student-led so please bring your child with you.

This trimester will be the first time we conference with our new math program and a new report card so I thank you for your patience ahead of time. :) I will send home information regarding the report card ahead of time so you're familiar with it before the conference. We will be discussing strengths, goals, and our common core "I can" statements which the students will be grading themselves on prior to meeting with you.

Welcome to our class webpage!

Hello Owl Class parents,
I've finally had some time to sit down and update our class webpage. So here goes...

First I'd like to thank you for all the support during our 2nd grade play.  The second graders had a blast performing and the teachers enjoyed watching them blossom on stage.  Thank you!

Art Docent and Science Lab were also wonderful.  Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who are able to help out in any way.  Your time and energy are greatly appreciated.

Friday, October 23, is our Fall Carnival.  I hope you all have a wonderful time and I look forward to hanging out with our families at our next event.  I'm sorry I'm not able to make it tomorrow night.

Next week is Red Ribbon Week.  Our weekly activities came home in their Tuesday Folders.
