School play tomorrow morning

Good afternoon! Just a reminder that our school wide play is tomorrow morning at 8:30.  Send them to school in their costume clothes like you did today, then we'll get them changed into their full costumes right after morning announcements.

This is an award winning performance! You don't want to miss it. We'll start promptly at 8:30.

We hope to see you all there. You'll have time to take pictures of them in their costumes after the play ends.

Hello everybody! We have a very busy month ahead of us. Mark your calendars and check your child's calendar in their homework folders!

More detailed information on the costumes for our play will be coming soon. It will be minimal on your part.

• 10/12 Chik-Fil-A…don’t forget our Chik-Fil-A night tonight @ 5:00-8:00. I’ll be                                           working the 5:00-6:30 shift. Come and see me! 
• 10/20 Picture retake day
• 10/20 2nd grade play dress rehearsal for the school @ 1:30. The majority of costumes will be                         provided. We’ll let you know what you may    need to provide and it’ll be as simple as                         jeans or a white shirt.
• 10/21 2nd grade play performance for parents @ 8:30 in multi.
• 10/21 PTC Trunk or Treat
• 10/28 2nd grade field trip to Roseville Theater Arts Academy
• 10/31 Costume parade at school/pumpkin soup…sign-up genius will coming later.
• 11/7 Minimum day/report card prep
• 11/11 No School
• 11/14 Conference week/min day schedule

   

First day of 2nd grade! :)

School starts Wednesday at 7:50. I'll meet you out on the playground before the warning bell rings at 7:45. We'll line up and walk into the classroom together. If you have school supplies, please put them in the purple tub outside the classroom.

Meet The Teacher!

Welcome to The Owl Class! I'm looking forward to meeting you all at Meet the Teacher tomorrow, August 16th, from 11-12 in room 6.

If you've had a chance to buy school supplies, feel free to bring them in tomorrow. I will have a tub out for supplies. There is a list hanging outside our classroom door, as well as listed on our webpage under "school supplies".

School starts Wednesday, August 17th, 7:50-2:20.

Books on Parade!

Good morning!
Please make sure you've seen the Book Float instruction sheet and poster page that goes with it. Your child can choose any appropriate book to be represented on their float. The float must be built to withstand two "parades" on the day of Open House. I won't have time to fix any broken floats that day.

Remember the float must include:

• A base with wheels
• A setting showing where the story takes place
• The main characters of the story
• Props or objects that let us know what the story is about
• The title, author, and illustrator
• YOUR CHILD'S NAME

The Egg Drop!

We're so excited for our Grand Event!

Our Egg Drop will take place Friday, April 22nd at 1:30. We will be dropping our eggs off the roof of room 8.

Make sure your raw egg is placed in a baggie and the package measurements do not exceed 7"X7"X7". Also, make sure your child's name is easily visible.

NO balloons or parachutes!

Parents are welcome to come and watch.
